Medical Specialties

Hello! My name is Julia and I am an IB student, currently in Grade 10. This website is a part of my personal project, where my aim is to create a website that provides information to aspiring doctors, regarding different specialties they could choose from as well as how to best decide on a specialty.

I, myself, want to become a doctor yet am still unsure which specialty interests me the most. Therefore, I conducted a lot of research to create this website; reading various articles and blogs, conducting interviews, and even participating in some work experience.

During this work experience, I was fortunate enough to shadow and even participate in many specialties, including OB/GYN, surgery and even internal medicine. This hands-on experience was extremely fascinating and it made me realise I definitely wanted to be a doctor in the future. However I was unsure about which specialty would suit me best.

With this website, I hope to provide some clarity for aspiring doctors about how to choose a specialty and some basics you should know about each. I condensed all my research into one organized and precise website to make it more convenient for all of you!
